Mary Lou (Shumaker) John, 55, of Ford City, died on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in her residence.
She was born on Nov. 30, 1967, in Kittanning, to Carl and Carol Shumaker.
Mary Lou was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory: her husband, Larry John, Jr.; father, Carl Shumaker, Sr., of Ford City; son, James (Christina) John, of Rural Valley; daughter, Brandi (Curtis) Grates, of Kittanning; brother, Carl Shumaker, Jr., of Ford City; grandchildren: Michael Grates, Makala Grates, Morgan John, Zoey John and Ryker John; her grandmother, Mildred McGinnis, of Kittanning; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Shumaker; maternal grandfather, Francis “Cuddy” McGinnis; and paternal grandparents, Jay and Celia Shumaker.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa.
Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in the funeral home, until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Carl Johnson officiating.
